FABULOUS rehearsal!!! Thanks students for arriving ready and teachable!
I have a few thoughts to quickly mention, but really I know from previous years this one thing for sure - Rehearsal never truly depicts how actual performance goes - it's not meant for perfection it's meant to give the dancers a feel for what is to come! I find that the night of, once the makeup is on the the lights are there with people in the seats, loose ends tidy up.
I feel confident that all my students know their choreography and tonight showed that! They were great, the tiny details like knowing the stage spacing and finding our spots is hopefully what worked itself out in their sweet little brains tonight and then we rock it Sunday.!
Keep dreaming of straight lines and "think" your choreography while you brush your teeth!
I would like to run a few casual rehearsals on Sunday before the show to really have our dancers feeling comfortable in a few classes... hopefully this wont impact your schedule on Sunday and you were already arriving at this time but here is what I was thinking
HARK! I'd like to take the girls onstage for 5:00 (dont rush their costumes, we can run this easily with just warmup gear)
also MISTLETOE HIPHOP I'd like to just double check our spacing again so if we could run it quick at 5:05
and Nutcracker 5:10
Doors open for the show at 5:30 so this should be a nice calm easy way to hash things out.
For the 2 students who didn't make it on stage, I am so proud of you for even being there and watching, and maybe Sunday we try again, or maybe you are a part of the show with your costume on in the seats... but no matter what I am super proud you tried!
Ok :) Great evening! I am so happy, and off to setup lighting for photos now. (!!) See you Saturday/Sunday
